Main characteristics

• Type: pre-doctoral contract (research training)
• Duration: up to 4 years
• Commitment: full-time
• Minimum remuneration: €25,456.32 gross/year
• Includes additional funding of up to €7,000 for research stays and doctoral tuition fees
  Possibility of a postdoctoral orientation period (POP) after the thesis defence
• 1 place reserved for people with a disability ≥33%

Basic requirements

• Qualification giving access to a PhD (bachelor’s/master’s degree or equivalent)
• Be admitted or eligible to enrol in a UVa PhD programme 2025-2026
• Not already hold a PhD degree
• Not have previously enjoyed more than 12 months of a pre-doctoral contract
